Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking a skilled Millwright to work in our Chesterfield Plant, performing maintenance and preventive care on mechanical equipment to keep 24/7 operations running safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates have a millwright journeyman card or 4+ years of maintenance experience in a chemical plant or similar facility, with strong troubleshooting, blueprint-reading, and mechanical systems knowledge.

Qualifications

• Millwright journeyman card or minimum 4 years of maintenance experience in a chemical plant, refinery, or similar industrial facility
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of mechanical system design, repair techniques and performance assessment
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and repair manuals
• Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently and in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, compressors, blowers, fans, and gearboxes
• Maintain lubrication and hydraulic systems; service pneumatic and vacuum systems
• Perform predictive and preventive maintenance and document results
• Read manuals, schematics, and P&ID’s and update maintenance docs
• Support 24/7 plant operations with daily maintenance coverage
• Willing to work overtime and perform physical tasks in an industrial setting
