Job summary

Ahlstrom is seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Engineering Co-Op for Summer 2027 at our Rhinelander, Wisconsin plant. This internship focuses on improving process reliability in a paper manufacturing environment, offering hands-on experience in a team-driven setting.

You will assist with capital and maintenance projects, collaborate with suppliers and contractors, and support ongoing operations to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering, or related degree program
• Living in or willing to relocate to Rhinelander, Wisconsin
• Ability to work full-time for the duration of the position
• Strong desire to work within a fast-paced, manufacturing environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization
• Strong technical aptitude and proven problem solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Must follow Ahlström’s manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable to the position’s areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper.
• Assist with multiple capital and maintenance projects
• Work with suppliers and contractors on project related tasks
• Support operations/maintenance efforts and drive continuous improvement

We are seeking an Engineering Intern at our Rhinelander, Wisconsinplant for Summer 2027. This individualwill aid in making process and reliability improvements in a paper manufacturing environment. Pay Rate

• $27.00 per hour
