Job summary

TTX Company in Columbus, OH is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to keep production lines running by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing routine and corrective maintenance on shop equipment.

You will maintain and repair equipment such as welders and grinders, repair parts with hand tools and welding, read blueprints, complete work orders, and install new equipment while supporting maintenance plans.

Qualifications

• Formal education, high school or equivalent required.
• 2-year Technical Degree in Maintenance field or vocational certificate/training.
• Knowledge: mechanical skills.
• Skills: welding and cutting.
• Mental factors: Decision making and reasoning, planning and scheduling.
• Preferred: Ability to speak, understand, and read English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair production equipment, including but not limited to: welders and grinders.
• Repairs broken parts using hand tools and welding equipment properly in compliance with Company’s safety policies and procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals to diagnose problems.
• Complete work orders as assigned.
• Complete installation of new equipment and provide other areas of improvement in line with facility’s maintenance plans.
