Maintenance Mechanic

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a company based in North Houston, TX. This role involves installing and repairing production and manufacturing equipment to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities include inspecting machinery, performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing malfunctions, and executing necessary repairs or adjustments. The environment may involve heat and noise, with physical activities such as lifting, climbing, standing, walking, crouching, squatting, bending, and kneeling.

Pay Rate

$21.00 - $28.00 per hour (Dependent on experience)

Schedule and Hours

Monday – Saturday, 7 am – 7 pm. Overtime is mandatory, with 60 hours guaranteed per week. Hours and workdays may vary.

Responsibilities

1. Perform preventative maintenance on production lines.
2. Conduct repairs to minimize downtime.
3. Implement upgrades and coordinate with external contractors.
4. Adjust production line molds to meet manufacturing demands.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 4 to 8 years of experience as a mechanic in a heavy industrial setting or equivalent military experience.
• Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, lifts, and other equipment.
• Experience with water pumps, hydraulic pumps, pneumatic cylinders, and power tools.
• Knowledge of bearing removal, gear systems, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with measuring tools and basic math.
• Own or willingness to invest in essential tools.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be drug-free, trustworthy, and professional.
