Responsibilities

• Observes mechanical equipment in operation to locate causes of trouble.
• Schedule, trains, supervise and motivate employees for maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate work performed by outside vendors.
• Ensure efficient repair schedules and review cost estimates.
• Prioritize maintenance and repairs of equipment and parts.
• Control and monitor inventory.
• Dismantles equipment to replace defective parts.
• Adjusts parts of equipment and control instruments.
• Ensure that all equipment complies with OEMs and regulatory standards.
• Ensure proper lubrication per OEM schedules.
• Follow preventive maintenance work order procedures.
• Familiarize with safety, health, environment policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor is responsible for leading maintenance systems, overseeing the continuous improvement of the process and executing long-term strategic plans.

• Develop familiarity with and ensure compliance with safety, health, environment and community company policies and procedures as they pertain to facility operations and equipment usage and operation
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Job Qualifications

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Technical School Preferred

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Normal work environment is outdoors, with exposure to all weather conditions, dirt, high levels of noise, smells/odors and at times exposure to dangerous and/or toxic substances requiring necessary precautions, including PPE.

• The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk or hear.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
