Job summary

Circular Services in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations, drive continuous improvement, and execute long-term plans. This is a full-time on-site role. The position requires supervisory experience in a heavy industrial setting, strong mechanical and analytical abilities, and the ability to follow written procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; technical school preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience in a diverse, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent mechanical ability and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to follow procedures from written instructions.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must speak and understand English; Spanish speaking is a plus.
• One year minimum mechanical repair experience in a heavy industrial setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Observes mechanical equipment in operation to locate causes of trouble
• Schedule, trains, supervise and motivate employees for maintenance tasks
• Coordinate work performed by outside vendors
• Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates
• Prioritize the maintenance and repairs of company equipment and parts
• Control and monitor inventory
• Dismantles equipment to remove and replace defective parts
• Adjusts functional parts of equipment and control instruments
• Ensure that all equipment complies with OEMs and regulatory agencies operating standards
• Ensures proper equipment lubrication in compliance with OEMs lubrication schedule
• Follows preventive maintenance works order procedures
• Develop familiarity with and ensure compliance with safety, health, environment and community company policies and procedures as they pertain to facility operations and equipment usage and operation
• Perform other duties as assigned
