Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods in United States, NY area seeks a Maintenance Technician for our distribution center to maintain and repair conveyance systems. You will follow PM schedules, document work, and collaborate with vendors to complete projects safely.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, relevant technical education, and proficiency with hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC controls. LOTO safety and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs are essential competencies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• 2-year vocational/technical certificate preferred in mechanical/electrical field.
• 3–5 years of related maintenance experience.
• Welding, cutting and/or brazing skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes & PLC controls.
• Experience with DC software packages and asset management systems.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Physically able to stand and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Safety conscious with LOTO experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to OSHA safety standards and LOTO practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems.
• Follow PM schedules and document work in asset management system.
• Report spare parts inventory and usage to leadership.
• Train junior technicians to elevate performance.
• Coordinate with outside vendors to complete DC projects safely and timely.
• Take on additional duties to support DC operations.
