Job summary

The Maintenance Mechanic at Cemex US performs all types of mechanical jobs throughout the assigned area. Maintain plant equipment and facilities to meet operating requirements and objectives, during and outside of regular operation schedules and maintenance.

Additional duties include data collection for preventive maintenance, bearing replacement, alignment, welding and cutting, and adherence to safety rules and plant standards to ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical experience or welding training/certification.
• Experience in plant maintenance is a plus.
• Bi-lingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance mechanic assignments on plant equipment and facilities.
• Collect data for preventative and predictive plant maintenance projects.
• Perform millwright tasks including bearing replacement, alignment, inspection and repair of power transmission.
• Perform welding and cutting for fabrication and repairs.
