Job summary

RectorSeal in Houston, TX is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment at our manufacturing and distribution facility. You will troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, document work orders, and coordinate with production staff to minimize downtime.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years in industrial maintenance, and knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, PLC, and motor control systems.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• 5+ years in industrial maintenance/manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read schematics for piping and wiring.
• Forklift certification and SDS literacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement repairs.
• Document maintenance work orders and repairs in the CMMS.
• Coordinate with production supervisors to minimize downtime.
• Assist with equipment startup and shutdown and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Maintain and update maintenance records and logs.
