Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Lead Maintenance Mechanic in Memphis to oversee repairs and preventive maintenance of warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and highlifts. The role requires proactive logging of repairs, adherence to safety policies, and coordination with warehouse staff and vendors.

The successful candidate will have at least six months of mechanic experience, basic math skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • High School education or equivalent preferred; additional mechanic training or trade school degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform necessary repairs and maintenance to warehouse-related equipment (e.g. pallet jacks, highlifts, forklifts, etc.).
  • Review equipment reports, record actions/repairs, and maintain a repair log per policy.
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and log documentation per policy.
  • Maintain safety and proper operation of tools and equipment; manage battery-charging area and batteries.
