Job summary

US Foods in Illinois is seeking a maintenance technician to perform repairs and routine maintenance on pallet jacks, highlifts, forklifts, and related equipment to keep day and night operations running smoothly.

This full-time on-site role relocates to Aurora, IL by mid 2027. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM, with overtime and a base pay of $35–$37 per hour, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and stock purchase opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High School education or equivalent preferred.
  • Six months of mechanic experience required.
  • Knowledge of equipment repair and operation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on pallet jacks, highlifts and forklifts to keep operations running.
  • Review equipment reports, document actions, and maintain repair logs per policy.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and maintain PM logs.
  • Follow safety guidelines (Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding, safe work environment).
  • Maintain battery charging area and tools; manage inventory and storage.
  • Assist with light maintenance and basic repairs as needed.
