Job summary

The Thunderbird LLC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on metal production equipment. You will support reliability initiatives across mechanical and electrical systems, reading prints and applying safety standards in a factory setting.

Responsibilities include installing and maintaining machinery, observing devices to locate problems, and maintaining parts inventories while ensuring a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance mechanic or similar role.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, plumbing and code books.
• Basic mechanical, welding and cutting skills.
• Should be capable of reading mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.
• Good problem-solving skills, safety practices and attention to quality.

Maintenance Mechanic Essential Functions

Maintenance Mechanic Required Experience

• Basic knowledge of relay logic, AC/DC motor drives, PLC & SLC and motor control circuits.
• Intermediate knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, plumbing, and code books.
• Repair knowledge of pumps, compressors, gear boxes and blowers.

Maintenance Mechanic Physical Demands and Work Environment

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Frequently required lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.
• Frequently required standing, bending, squatting, and reaching with hands and arms.
• Regularly required to stand for extended periods, walk, talk, and hear.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Ability to read applicable instructions.
