Job summary

Crowncork in Lancaster, OH is seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Technician to keep our manufacturing and facilities equipment operating at peak efficiency. You will repair motors, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, conveyors and thermal equipment, and perform preventive maintenance.

You will read blueprints and manuals, troubleshoot mechanical issues, fabricate repair parts when needed, and coordinate with engineering, supervision and production staff.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, sketches and manuals.
• Basic computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Familiarity with CMMS (MP2 or equivalent).
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and thermal systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on motors, gearboxes, conveyors and thermal systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions and locate sources of problems.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment when needed.
• Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory and ordering materials.
• Support safety, quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
