Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Technician to keep manufacturing and facility equipment running efficiently in our Ohio operations.

The role involves repairing motors, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and thermal systems, with a focus on minimizing downtime and supporting maintenance projects. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience, reads blueprints and schematics, and is proficient with MP2 CMMS and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, sketches, operations manuals and engineering specifications.
• Basic technical, computer, and analytical skills.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management software (MP2 or equivalent).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to participate in a mechanical skills test device assessment.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain motors, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and thermal systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions using blueprints, manuals, and engineering specs.
• Remove and dismantle faulty equipment using hand and power tools.
• Adjust components with standard and specialty tools to optimize performance.
• Support preventive maintenance to minimize downtime on production lines.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment as needed.
• Coordinate with purchasing on spare parts and supplies.
• Ensure safety, health, and environmental compliance in all tasks.
