Job summary

The Mosaic Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on plant and mine equipment at our Bartow, FL site. You will use hand tools, welding equipment, and CMMS to document work and follow safety standards.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED (Associates preferred), 4 years of related industrial mechanical experience or an approved apprenticeship, and willingness to train on heavier equipment.

Qualifications

• 4 years of related industrial mechanical experience or completion of an accredited Apprenticeship program
• Phosphate industry experience preferred
• May require a commercial driver's license
• Basic computer skills needed
• Good organizational skills and ability to work alone or in a team
• Ability to operate mobile equipment including boom trucks, aerial lifts and forklift

Responsibilities

• Repair machinery and equipment per established plans
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues
• Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication
• Operate overhead cranes and assist with lifts
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE
• Train to operate boom trucks and forklifts
