Job summary

The Mosaic Company in Florida is seeking Maintenance Mechanics to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment in a safe, efficient manner. You will use hand tools, welding gear, and precision instruments to service pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and other large machinery, adhering to Mosaic standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; Associate’s degree in vocational fields (Millwright, Pipefitter, Boilermaker, Machinist, Welding) preferred.
• Resume required.
• At least 4 years of related industrial mechanical experience or completion of an accredited apprenticeship program.
• Phosphate industry experience preferred.
• Commercial driver’s license may be required.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Good organizational skills and ability to work alone or in a team.
• Strict adherence to safety procedures.
• Ability to operate mobile equipment (boom truck, aerial lift, forklift).
• Physical ability to lift 25–50 lbs., climb stairs, work at heights, and operate in industrial environments.
• Successful completion of pre‑hire exams and ongoing training.
• Responsible for the safe storage, inspection, and use of tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Repair machinery and equipment in accordance with established job plans.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Perform emergency or off‑time repairs and lubricate/PM equipment.
• Assist with crane operations, rigging, and root‑cause failure analysis.
• Train and become certified to operate boom trucks, large forklifts, and aerial man lifts.
• Report safety, environmental, or operational issues to management.
