Job summary

The Mosaic Company, headquartered in Lithia, Florida, is seeking Maintenance Mechanics to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on plant and mine equipment across multiple Florida locations. The role requires using hand tools, welding equipment, CMMS data entry, and strict safety practices.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and assisting with crane operations; prior experience and the ability to obtain required licenses are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; vocational degree preferred.
• Job Resume is a must.
• 4 years of related industrial mechanical experience or completion of an accredited Apprenticeship program.
• Phosphate industry experience preferred.
• May be required to obtain a commercial drivers’ license.
• Basic computer skills needed.
• Good organizational skills and ability to work alone or in a team.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.
• Capable of data entry.
• Ability to operate mobile equipment (boom trucks, aerial lifts, forklifts).
• Ability to work at heights and in heavy industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Repair machinery and equipment per established job plans; troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and keep equipment in service.
• Operate or assist with cranes, rigging, and lifts as required.
• May train to operate heavy equipment; follow safety and reporting procedures.
• Report safety/environmental concerns and participate in safety meetings.
