Job summary

HorseShoe Beverage Company in Radford, VA is seeking a maintenance technician to handle grounds, building upkeep, and equipment maintenance. The role requires adherence to safety standards and BATFE clearance, with forklift operation and weekend availability.

Responsibilities include PM support, grounds maintenance, minor repairs, cleaning tasks, and occasional driving between facility locations. Must possess basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing skills and own tools.

Qualifications

• Be able to read, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to receive BATFE clearance.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices.
• Lockout/Tagout training completed.
• Experience with electrical wiring (110V, 220V).
• Basic carpentry, plumbing and tool use skills.
• Own tools and ability to operate power equipment safely.
• Safe operation of forklifts and driving capability.
• Must hold a valid state driver’s license.
• Willingness to work weekends and across multiple facility locations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance duties per shift hours.
• Assist preventive maintenance preparations as needed.
• Maintain grounds, buildings, test sites and roadways per supervisor instructions.
• Communicate with supervisor when leaving area or during emergencies.
• Seasonal lawn care and tree trimming with power tools.
• Perform minor maintenance and lubrication on power equipment.
• Conduct litter patrol and waste disposal.
• Fill potholes and keep walkways safe.
• Winter snow/ice removal from walkways and loading docks.
• Clean buildings and facilities with appropriate equipment.
• Maintain test sites and recycling containers.
• Move and arrange furniture when required.
• Drive company pickup or use personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
• Adhere to ISO and Quality Management System processes.
