Job summary

TE Connectivity seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician for the Mount Joy, PA area. This 2nd shift role supports machine and facility maintenance, focusing on preventive maintenance, repairs, and safe, efficient operation.

The candidate will work on motors, conveyors, and production equipment, reading blueprints and schematics, with a goal of reducing downtime while adhering to OHSA and TE policies. Weekend and some overtime may be required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associates degree preferred in Electrical or Mechanical.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical (low & high voltage), and electronic skill.
  • Ability to read, and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagram.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, repair and perform preventive maintenance on motors, conveyors, and production machines.
  • Follow TE Connectivity EH&S policies and maintain clean, organized work areas.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot malfunctions to minimize downtime.
  • Read and interpret diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams to ensure proper repairs.

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Maintenance Teams perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure longer lifespan of machines and facilities. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Job Requirements
  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by creating and completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Utilize knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) to ensure that designs comply with the required safety clearances.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associates degree preferred in Electrical or Mechanical.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical (low & high voltage), and electronic skill.
  • PLC knowledge with programming skills a plus.
  • Ability to read, and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagram.
  • Must be flexible to work some weekends, & occasional overtime.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations for industrial warehouse environment.

This is a 2nd Shift position. (Mon-Thurs: 2:00PM-12:30AM).

What Your Background Should Look Like

Minimum of 4 years of related work experience.

Requires completion of high school. Vocational training or an AA degree is preferred.

Compensation
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $52,600– $78,900 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
