Job summary

TE Connectivity Mount Joy, PA is seeking a production operator to lead daily manufacturing activities, ensure quality and efficiency, and support a 2nd shift schedule. You will monitor performance, coordinate staffing, and drive rapid responses to equipment issues in a safety-first environment.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, adherence to standardized procedures, and collaboration with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to optimize output and throughput.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of related work experience preferred.
  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Soldering certification preferred.
  • Must communicate clearly in English.
  • Access to ITAR/EAR controlled information requires U.S. citizenship or eligible status.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in daily production activities to achieve output, quality, and efficiency goals.
  • Monitor production performance and drive corrective actions to meet schedules.
  • Coordinate staffing, work assignments, and overtime to support production demands.
  • Reduce downtime through rapid response to equipment and process issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement to eliminate waste, increase productivity, and improve throughput.
  • Monitor and reduce scrap, rework, and defects through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Ensure operators follow standardized work instructions and manufacturing procedures.
  • Support inventory accuracy and material availability to prevent production interruptions.
  • Train, coach, and develop production employees to improve skills and performance.
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
  • Review production KPIs including OEE, efficiency, labor utilization, scrap, downtime, and on-time delivery.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to optimize production performance.

What Your Background Should Look Like

  • 1-2 years of related work experience is preferable
  • Detail-oriented individual with multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to work under general supervision
  • Can communicate clearly both written and verbally in English
  • Soldering certification preferable
  • This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee

Shift and Schedule

This position will be working 2nd shift.Monday through Thursday 4 pm - 2:30 am

Compensation
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $18.00 - $24.00 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
