Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a production worker to set up and operate machines, read BOMs and blueprints, and work with Quality to ensure product conformance. The role requires attention to safety, accuracy, and maintaining organized work areas.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate machines and assemble parts as directed by Cell Lead.
  • Read and understand bill of materials and blueprints.
  • Communicate with Cell Lead on discrepancies in drawing or BOM.
  • Work with Quality to inspect during production and verify specs.
  • Operate air and power tools as needed to aid manufacturing.
  • Maintain productivity to meet/exceed production standards.
  • Follow safety rules and safe procedures.
  • Keep tools and work area organized and clean daily.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
  • Set up and operate various machines and assemble parts as directed by Cell Lead.
  • Read and understand bill of materials and blueprints of drawings.
  • Communicate with Cell Lead on all issues related to discrepancies on drawing or BOM.
  • Work closely with the Quality Department to conduct inspections during the production process and verify product meets customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Operate air and power tools as needed in order to aid in the manufacturing process.
  • Maintain productivity at levels that match or exceed production standards.
  • Follow safety rules and use safe procedures.
  • Keep all tools and supplies put away in the appropriate location on a daily basis. Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What Your Background Should Look Like
  • High School Diploma / GED preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge and familiar with Excel.
  • Read and understand blueprints/drawings.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Communicate effectively. Ability to Read, Write and Speak English
  • Knowledge of various types of equipment such as:
  • Air and power tools
  • Micrometers, calipers, rulers, tape measures and gages
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Continuous standing, moving and reaching with arms and hand.
  • Frequently walks, bends, lifts and carries items.
  • Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.
  • Work performed in a shop environment.
  • Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, and odors.

Compensation
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $19.00/Hour + 10% Shift Differential = $20.90/Hour (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
