Job summary

TE Connectivity is hiring for an on-site manufacturing role in Grayslake, IL. The candidate will set up and operate machines, read BOMs and blueprints, and work with Quality to ensure products meet specs.

Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read charts, gauges and tools are required. English communication is essential; familiarity with Excel is a plus. The role involves standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Familiar with Excel and basic computer use.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints/drawings.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Effective reading, writing and speaking of English.
• Experience with equipment such as hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and maintain focus.
• Must stand, move and reach; lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines and assemble parts as directed by Cell Lead.
• Read and understand BOM and blueprints.
• Communicate with Cell Lead about discrepancies in drawings or BOM.
• Collaborate with Quality to perform inspections during production.
• Operate air and power tools as needed.
• Maintain productivity at or above production standards.
• Follow safety rules and procedures.
• Keep tools and workspace organized and clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Set up and operate various machines and assemble parts as directed by Cell Lead.
• Read and understand bill of materials and blueprints of drawings.
• Communicate with Cell Lead on all issues related to discrepancies on drawing or BOM.
• Work closely with the Quality Department to conduct inspections during the production process and verify product meets customer specifications and industry standards.
• Operate air and power tools as needed in order to aid in the manufacturing process.
• Maintain productivity at levels that match or exceed production standards.
• Follow safety rules and use safe procedures.
• Keep all tools and supplies put away in the appropriate location on a daily basis. Keep work area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What Your Background Should Look Like

• High School Diploma / GED preferred.

Compensation

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $19.00/Hour + 10% Shift Differential = $20.90/Hour (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
