Job summary

Shasta Beverages, Inc. seeks a skilled maintenance technician to repair, maintain and install production machinery with emphasis on electrical systems. You will work on panel building, ladder logic troubleshooting, motor controls and VFD installations, and read electrical drawings and schematics.

Must use multimeters and testing equipment; ability to make PLC changes and implement advanced logic. 12-hour shifts are required and safe work practices with OSHA compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; some technical college preferred.
• 3–5 years’ experience in related field; food/beverage experience a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret machine/electrical drawings and schematics.
• Computer literacy with Excel and Word.
• PLC experience a must.
• AC and DC circuit knowledge.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and a flexible full-time schedule.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain high speed filling, packaging, and support equipment.
• Follow lock out/tag out procedures and OSHA training; correct unsafe conditions.
• Respond to calls from line supervisors to repair equipment as needed.
• Provide breaks to machine operators or run equipment when needed.
• Perform package change-overs on equipment as required.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Lead in daily meetings and report maintenance objectives.
• Install/rebuild production or plant support equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic devices and hydraulic systems.
• Develop preventative maintenance needs and requirements.
• Perform pipefitting for water, air, or hydraulic systems.
• Fabricate small parts, brackets, or guards as needed.
• Troubleshoot mechanical or electrical problems promptly.
• Independently perform assignments with general instructions.
