Job summary

Saft is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support production equipment maintenance under supervision. You will troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and assist other mechanics as needed. Candidates should have 2–5 years of experience, a high school diploma, and basic repair training.

Position is on-site in a manufacturing environment. A forklift certification and ability to read calipers/micrometers are required; Associates degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience preferred.
• High school diploma required; basic mechanical repairs training.
• Associates degree is a plus.
• Analytical ability required to troubleshoot electro-mechanical equipment.
• Able to read test/measuring equipment like calipers, micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots production and facilities equipment and repairs or replaces gears and drives.
• Performs routine maintenance: adjust switches, lubricate, tighten belts, install hoses.
• May assist other mechanics and perform unscheduled maintenance tasks.
• Maintains safe and orderly work area.
• Must read measuring devices accurately and work with test equipment.
