Job summary

Perdue Foods in Kentucky is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to keep our poultry processing facility running at peak performance. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and repair or install equipment to ensure reliable, efficient production.

The role requires hands-on expertise, the ability to work shifts (1:00am–11:00am), and a commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 Years experience.
• Strong reading, communication math, writing, and analytical skills.
• Must be proficient in at least nine (9) of the following areas:
• Reading Blueprints/Schematics
• Cut and weld (Oxygen, Acetylene and Aluminum) all types of metals
• Hydraulics
• Pumps
• Electrical wiring and motors
• Filter systems
• Pipe fitting/plumbing
• Operation of shop equipment
• Millwright
• Sheet metal fabrication
• Refrigeration systems
• Pneumatics
• Carpentry
• Certified Electrician

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues with equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Repair or install equipment to ensure reliable production.
• Maintain safe and clean work areas and follow leadership instructions.
• Respond to emergencies within 30 minutes and support continuous operations.
