Perdue Farms in Westover, Maryland, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II for the first shift to diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and repair or install equipment to ensure peak production. You will help minimize downtime and support safe, high performing operations.

This hands-on role requires strong technical skills, reliability, and commitment to safety in a poultry processing environment. Overtime may be available; a competitive benefits package is included.

Qualifications

• Strong reading, communication math, writing, and analytical skills.
• Must be proficient in at least nine of the listed technical areas (see job posting).
• High School Diploma or equivalent, or 2-year technical college preferred.
• Provide own hand tools and a storage box to safely perform the job.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and repair or install equipment to keep production running.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow leadership instructions.
• Respond to emergencies within 30 minutes and support safe, high performing operations.
• Work Monday–Friday, 5:30am to 3:00pm and perform other duties as assigned.
