Job summary

The RDC Maintenance Mechanic I at Lowe’s is a skilled repair professional responsible for keeping RDC equipment fully operational. The role covers conveyors, rolling stock, and building systems, with depth in one area and broad capability in others.

You will diagnose issues, plan repairs, order parts, and document maintenance activities while mentoring a Maintenance Utility and coordinating with the Maintenance Supervisor. On-site work with safety focus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training considered in lieu.
• 2 years of experience in the specialty area.
• Valid state driver’s license; able to work electrical up to 600V.

Responsibilities

• Maintains required certifications and adheres to safety procedures.
• Plans, executes repairs, and orders spare parts for tasks.
• Documents work performed and updates maintenance records.
• Mentors Maintenance Utility and coordinates with senior staff as needed.
• Performs basic repairs outside specialty areas and participates in training.
