Job summary
Tremco is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I to provide technical expertise across process control, electrical and instrumentation equipment. You will help sustain performance, support maintenance leadership, and contribute to long-term improvements in reliability and equipment calibration.
The role involves reading blueprints, collaborating with engineers, and maintaining safety standards in a chemical plant setting.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing mechanical field or AS degree from technical school.
- Experience in installation, maintenance and troubleshooting plant issues.
- Basic safety training such as Right to Know, Hazmat, Hazwoper.
Responsibilities
- Understand and perform complex repair procedures in a chemical plant per equipment instructions.
- Collaborate with maintenance manager and plant engineers to improve reliability.
- Support electrical maintenance skills and equipment start-up procedures.
- Work from ladders, scaffolds, and elevated platforms.
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, drawings and specs.
- Assist with capital projects to optimize maintainability.
- Input standardization and provide technical installation expertise.
