Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to locate problems, dismantle devices, and document maintenance using precision tools in a manufacturing setting. The role focuses on preventive maintenance of packaging equipment and related machinery.

You will read blueprints, follow safety procedures, and perform tool changes on PMC and cup forming machines. This position requires physical effort and adherence to quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational school in related subjects desired.
• Six months or more related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to read blueprints and technical diagrams; good handgrip strength and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs on cup packagers and carton sealing.
• Performs preventive maintenance of Paper Machinery (PMC) and Thermoforming Cup Forming Machines.
• Performs preventive maintenance and repair of carton sealer and related conveying equipment.
• Completes records, ordering and paperwork accurately.
• Follows Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety rules.
• Reads blueprints and technical diagrams to troubleshoot equipment.
