Job summary

Barry Callebaut is seeking an experienced Mechanic, Maintenance I to perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment at our Kentucky facility. The role supports a 24/7 operation, working across rotating shifts, with duties including inspection, repair, and preventive maintenance of mechanical systems.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma and 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, with strong skills in pumps, conveyors, and mechanical

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of verifiable industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Hands-on maintenance experience with pumps, conveyors, gear reducers and related equipment.
• Able to read work orders, OEM manuals, mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Proficient with CMMS and Microsoft Office; basic business software.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Comply with GMPs, safety regs, lockout/tagout and PPE procedures.
• Perform routine repairs on plant assets and utility equipment.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to restore operation.
• Support planned maintenance, outages, inspections and repairs.
• Inspect and maintain mechanical equipment like pumps, bearings, valves, and conveyors.
• Communicate with cross-functional teams to coordinate work.
