A leading company in New York is seeking a dedicated individual for a role focused on thermoforming setup and maintenance of production equipment. The position involves routine tool changes, machinery lubrication, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates should have relevant experience and the ability to follow safety protocols in a dynamic work environment.
The primary function of this position is thermoforming setup; however, the employee will also perform regular preventative and minor maintenance on production equipment and facilities when required.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to print simple sentences and legibly complete reports and time cards. Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to perform basic math operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Capable of calculating figures such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Capable of dealing with problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must meet physical requirements to perform essential functions, including standing, walking, using hands, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Occasionally sitting, talking, and hearing. Ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work involves frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, and occasional exposure to high places, airborne particles, chemicals, outside weather, electrical hazards, and vibration. Noise levels are typically loud.
