Job summary

Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our Sugar Land, TX facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain high-speed manufacturing equipment and help ensure continuous production for metal packaging lines.

Responsibilities include creating SOPs, training operators, and upholding safety standards. A technical degree or journeyman-type certification, plus 5+ years in manufacturing, are preferred; candidates must own basic tools and be able to work 12-hour

Qualifications

5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing setting.
Associates/technical degree or related vocational/technical certification preferred.
Strong preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and equipment rebuild experience.
Experience in using controls and settings on high-speed automated equipment.
High competency with micrometers, calipers and related equipment.
Strong math and computer skills.
Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and parts specs.
Effective communication in a team environment.
Employees must have their own set of basic tools.
Must be able to work twelve (12) hour shifts, day and evening.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, adjust and maintain all production equipment.
Identify spoilage and take corrective action to resolve issues.
Develop standard operating procedures and provide training for equipment operation.
Reinforce all safety procedures.
Work with body makers, printers, washers, neckers and flangers and other machinery.
