Job summary

Starbucks Coffee Company is seeking a maintenance mechanic to support our Roasting Plants. You will assist the maintenance team, install new equipment, complete work orders, and keep plant systems operating safely and efficiently.

If you have 5+ years in automated manufacturing or industrial maintenance, strong electrical and mechanical skills, and the ability to read manuals, you could join a team dedicated to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5 years in Automated manufacturing or distribution environment.
• 5 years in General industrial maintenance and electrical systems.
• 2 years experience repairing high-speed packaging equipment.
• Knowledge of welding, plumbing and machining.
• High school diploma or GED, US military service or equivalent.
• Ability to work variable shifts to support business needs.
• Ability to follow safety, quality and sanitation standards.
• Effective written and verbal communication of technical issues.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical plant equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical and technical equipment manuals.
• Ability to work in elevated areas with ladders and roofs.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic math skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to plan and prioritize workload.
• Familiarity with food safety regulatory requirements and GFSI; experience with BRC or SQF.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance team and support all aspects of the maintenance department.
• Assist with installation of new equipment.
• Complete plant work orders, part lists, and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure plant equipment functions at optimum levels via short-term repairs and long-term improvements.
• Follow safety guidelines and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support food safety, legality and quality programs.
• Maintain product quality per GMPs and quality procedures.
• Perform other duties to support Starbucks mission and values.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
