Job summary

Jobot is seeking Maintenance Mechanics with experience in bottling and filling for all shifts in California. The role offers $30-$40 per hour and overtime opportunities.

You will perform general maintenance on valves, pumps, motors, and packaging equipment, with opportunities to read prints and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Applicants should have own tools, read mechanical/electrical prints, and be able to work overtime/on-call.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in cosmetics, food, or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with bottle and/or tube fillers is required.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical processes.

Responsibilities

• Replace valves, pumps, motors, and gear reducers.
• Maintain packaging equipment (labelers, fillers, cappers, printers, cartoners).
• Disassemble/assemble electric motors, pumps, hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Repair machinery and conveyors. Maintain basic electrical knowledge.
• Perform plant maintenance and read drawings/prints.

Job Details

General maintenance duties such as replacing valves and pumps, motors, gear reducers.

Experience with equipment packaging equipment (labelers, rotary and in-line filler, in-line cappers, jet printers, cartoner's, bundlers, sleevers, heat tunnels and case sealers)

Disassembly and assembly of electric motors, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Repair machinery and conveyor belts

Basic electrical knowledge

Maintains technical and professional knowledge

Perform miscellaneous duties as required for plant maintenance

Basic machinist experience using lathe and mill is a plus

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in the cosmetics, food or pharmaceutical industry
• Specific experience with bottle and/or tube fillers is required
• Must be able to communicated in English
• An in-depth, detailed knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical process.
• Ability to read and work from prints, both mechanical and electrical.
• Has the knowledge and skill to use a variety of hand and power tools as well as shop tools.
• Analytically oriented to troubleshoot and establish root cause of problems.
• Willing to work overtime and be on call for off-hours emergencies.
• Must have own tools
• Bilingual English/Spanish helpful but not mandatory
