Long Prairie Packing Company, LLC an American Foods Group Company is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for our Long Prairie, MN plant. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, parts identification, basic welding, plumbing, hydraulics, and electrical awareness to keep production lines running efficiently.

Base pay is offered at $21.85 per hour with comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), disability coverage, paid holidays, and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to successfully complete training: Safety, SQF, GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, Food defense, SSOPs, Lock out tag out, Forklift, Pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Identify and locate parts/part numbers from manuals or catalogs.
• Perform basic welding (tig; stick) and evaluate weld quality.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery and building systems.
• Assemble/repair plumbing and equipment to keep systems in good repair.
• Replace defective equipment or parts (belts, gearboxes, etc.).
• Perform basic hydraulic work and maintain scale equipment.
