Job summary

Ferrara is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our on-site facility and support the maintenance of food processing and packaging equipment. You will work with conveyors, motors, robotics, and sensors, applying strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills to keep production running.

The position requires overtime and flexible start/end times, with core hours from 2:00pm to 11:00pm. A high school diploma and industrial maintenance experience are preferred, along with basic electrical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2 years of industrial mechanical experience or equivalent apprenticeship/associate degree.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with familiarity with shop equipment and tools.
• Basic electrical knowledge and ability to read schematics/manufacturing manuals.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, stay results-driven, and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair food processing and packaging equipment and associated components.
• Install and maintain gearboxes, shafts, bearings, sprockets, belts and general mechanical equipment; perform lubrication.
• Install and maintain electric motors, motor starters, sensors, switches and electronic devices.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems and analyze machinery performance.
• Use CMMS to report completed work and generate parts requisitions from inventory.
• Complete preventive maintenance routines and identify root causes for fixes.
• Read safety rules and operation manuals, then write routine reports when needed.
• Calculate figures and quantities as required and follow standard procedures.
