Job summary

Ferrara in Fairfield, CA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to install, maintain and repair food processing and packaging equipment. This is a 2nd shift role with core hours 2:30 PM–11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, requiring overtime and weekend work as needed.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, perform preventive maintenance, read schematics, and use a CMMS to log work and parts.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Welding experience preferred (MIG, TIG).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair food processing and packaging equipment and associated components.
• Install and maintain gearboxes, shafts, bearings, bushings, sprockets, and belts; perform lubrication.
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Use CMMS to report completed work and generate parts requisitions.
• Identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
