Job summary

Starwest Botanicals, LLC in Sacramento, CA seeks a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to repair and maintain production equipment and the facility. You will work closely with Production Managers and Maintenance staff to keep machines running within specifications, set up new equipment, and support building maintenance.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience as a mechanic in a food production setting, own hand tools, and willingness to work varying shifts in a controlled production

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English.
• Must count effectively and accurately.
• Able to work in a team or independently without direct supervision.
• At least 3 years as a mechanic, repairing machines and equipment.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Willing to work in hot and cold temperatures.
• Able to read electrical schematics & diagrams.
• Willing to work any shift if needed.

Responsibilities

• Repair machines and perform preventive maintenance per manufacturers’ specs.
• Coordinate with Production Managers, Supervisors and Maintenance to keep equipment running.
• Assist in setting up new machines and equipment.
• Provide clear communication with Production Managers and Maintenance Manager.
• Monitor repair orders to ensure timely maintenance.
• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Assist with building repairs and facility maintenance as needed.
• Ensure paperwork is complete, organized, and properly routed.
• Follow master maintenance schedules and record logs.
• Follow SOPs, GMP, FDA and OSHA standards; perform other general maintenance duties.
