Job summary

Seneca Foods Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic-Cambria West to inspect, repair and maintain food processing equipment. You will perform repairs during production to meet goals and overhaul plant equipment during off-peak times to ready for the next production run.

The role requires reading sketches/blueprints, fabricating and installing equipment, and maintaining PM records, while upholding GMPs and safety standards. Team-oriented with good communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and maintain machinery, and equipment throughout the facility.
• Trouble shoot, repair, and replace machinery as required.
• Read sketches and blueprints to determine layout of assigned work.
• Design, fabricate, weld, and install equipment as required.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and PM completed.
• Monitor equipment operation making any necessary adjustments.
• Ensure that GMP’s (General manufacturing Practices), safety rules and regulations are being followed and enforced.
• Other duties as assigned.
