Encompass Health is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support facility reliability and safety for patients, visitors, and staff. You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems, collaborating with the team to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in preventative maintenance, equipment repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and/or construction.
• Licensing in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC is preferred.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and/or night shifts if needed.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and retrieve objects up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work on ladders/scaffolds and tolerate position changes.

Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively perform preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pneumatic, and related systems.
• Test and operate emergency power supply systems and components.
• Plan, interpret, and document work; report completed tasks to supervisor.
• Maintain knowledge of facility systems and applicable standards.
