Job summary

Pyramid Management Group is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to keep our facilities in top condition in Buffalo, NY. You will perform interior and exterior repairs, oversee preventive maintenance of HVAC and plumbing, and support on-site operations to enhance customer satisfaction and overall profitability.

We value a proactive work ethic, solid troubleshooting skills, and hands-on experience in building maintenance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in general building maintenance or equivalent trade background (BOCES training or similar in general HVAC/maintenance is highly preferred).
• Solid plumbing skills and comfort with routine HVAC maintenance.
• Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities; no supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior repairs to keep facilities functioning smoothly.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Coordinate with customers on-site and maintain communication with supervisor about equipment health.
• Liaise with external contractors for specialized repairs when needed.

From hands-on structural repairs to critical preventative maintenance, your work will directly impact our daily operations, customer satisfaction, and overall profitability.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Keep Operations Running Smoothly: Perform interior and exterior repairs, including drywall installation, painting, flooring, masonry patching, roofing, parking decks and structural touch-ups.
• Preventative Maintenance: Maintain crucial facility HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems (sprinklers, extinguishers) to prevent downtime.
• Customer & Team Support: Provide friendly assistance to customers on-site and maintain clear communication with your supervisor regarding equipment's health.
• Contractor Liaison: Assist and coordinate with external contractors when specialized repairs are underway.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: Hands-on experience in general building maintenance or equivalent trade background (BOCES training or similar in general HVAC/maintenance is highly preferred).
• Skills: Solid basic plumbing skills and comfort handling routine HVAC preventative maintenance.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Traits: A proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and zero supervisory experience required-just a strong work ethic.
