Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our distribution center in Thompson, CT. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing facility and conveyance systems, following PM standards, and documenting work in our asset management system.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of related experience, and can read electrical/mechanical drawings. The position requires lifting up to 75 lbs, LOTO familiarity, and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• 2-year vocational technical certificate or degree in mechanical or electrical field preferred.
• 3–5 years of related maintenance experience.
• Welding, burning, and cutting experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages (e.g., Crown PM, Gage) and equipment.
• Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility and conveyance system equipment; follow PM standards and document work in asset management system.
• Report spare parts inventory levels and daily usage to Maintenance leadership.
• Train junior technicians to elevate performance while troubleshooting assets.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to complete DC projects safely and timely.
• Take on other duties to support the DC and its operational needs.
