Qualifications

• Safety and housekeeping are the first consideration in all activities.
• Previous maintenance experience and industrial fabrication strongly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of rotary valves and dust collector systems.
• Understanding of basic rigging principles and equipment.
• Must have regular and predictable attendance.
• Must have ability to safely operate plant golf carts, forklifts, and plant vehicles.
• Have ability to understand verbal and written instructions from plant supervision and efficiently and effectively perform assigned tasks.
• Must complete the mechanical skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Operate and trouble shoot production machinery; perform preventive maintenance on motors, tools, conveyors, pumps, and piping.
• Observe equipment in operation to identify problems using measuring and testing instruments.
• Inspect parts and measure to determine changes in dimensions.
• Use hand and power tools, cranes/hoist, rigging equipment and welders.
• Provide maintenance information and report irregularities to supervision.
• Keep current technical knowledge by studying publications and attending workshops.
• Support plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
