Job Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment within the Foundry.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, and participate in long-term projects.
- Maintain and repair electrical infrastructure using drawings and blueprints.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities.
- Respond to requests from Facilities Manager and Maintenance Supervisor, prioritizing tasks to maximize equipment uptime.
- Ensure machine uptime on overhead cranes, sand mixers, conveyors, and other equipment.
- Observe mechanical operations to detect deficiencies.
- Inspect and test damaged machine parts.
- Collaborate with supervisors and staff to plan repairs and maintenance.
- Install, replace, or adjust machine components per specifications.
- Rig equipment safely for disassembly and assembly using cranes and hoists.
- Follow written and verbal instructions for repairs and maintenance.
- Complete documentation related to repairs and preventive maintenance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma and technical certificate preferred.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic troubleshooting.
- Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively across departments and with vendors.
- Strong understanding of preventive maintenance procedures and documentation.
- Knowledge of machines, tools, and their functions.
- Ability to read pneumatic and hydraulic prints.
- Math skills for repairs, fabrication, and maintenance.
- Team player with a sense of urgency and limited guidance.
- High Voltage Electrical experience preferred.
