Mechanic Maintenance A - 1st Shift (DSC)

Description

Performs all phases of Millwright work, including rigging, moving, assembling, and installing machinery and equipment using block and tackle, winches, hoists, monorails, etc. Reads and interprets drawings or oral specifications to lay out work. Positions machinery or equipment, checks alignment, clearance, level, and operation. Installs line shafts and power drives. Performs a variety of construction and repair tasks.

Performs plumbing and pipefitting work, including planning, laying out, installing, repairing, and maintaining air, oil, water, steam, drainage, gas pipelines, and related components such as valves, gauges, and controls.

Performs sheet metal work, including laying out and constructing parts like machine guards, ducts, tanks, and hoods, as well as making repairs.

Performs Mason's duties, including cement finishing, plastering, and laying bricks, tiles, and stones as needed for plant facilities.

Handles miscellaneous maintenance, repair, servicing, assembly, and construction duties not covered elsewhere, potentially supervising helpers.

Tools & Equipment Used: All necessary tools, measuring instruments, and equipment required for the duties.

Qualifications

Minimum three years of qualifying maintenance experience, including at least one year as a qualified plumber, pipefitter, or Millwright.
