Maintenance Mechanic - Preventive Maintenance (PM) - HIRING IMMEDIATELY - Connersville, IN

• Hourly wage starting at $31.25 (additional $1 per hour as shift differential for nights)

Responsibilities

Position Summary: Responsible for proactively maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment using approved preventive maintenance procedures.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
• Follow diagrams, manuals, and specifications.
• Audit production lines, assist in controlling machine downtime, and evaluate preventive routines.
• Recommend improvements for safe operation.
• Enter work orders into CMMS.
• Remove defective parts safely, using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Inspect parts and determine dimensional changes with measuring instruments.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety standards.
• Report failure causes and support investigations.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to PPE policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• 2-5 years’ experience in Equipment Maintenance/Preventive Maintenance
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and electrical troubleshooting
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
• Understanding of safety procedures
• Experience with power tools
• Critical decision-making skills
• Flexibility, adaptability, and attention to detail
• Experience in industrial manufacturing is a plus
