Leggett & Platt is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support carpet cushion manufacturing. You will take direction from the Maintenance Supervisor to assist in improving current processes on the plant floor.

The role requires reading blueprints and schematics, assembling machinery, and performing basic repairs. Expect a Monday through Friday schedule with occasional Saturdays and a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years Industrial/Manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
• Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.
• Ability to work independently or as a team to complete tasks.
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment.
• Ability to use various hand tools.
• Available to work on some Saturdays.

Responsabilités

• Assemble machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, and more according to directions.
• Read blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then build to those specifications.
• Use various machines and hand tools and power tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Maintain equipment and perform basic repairs when needed.
• Periodically check products to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolve any identified problems and alert supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned
