Job summary

Leggett & Platt Incorporated in Statesville, NC, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support carpet cushion manufacturing. You will take direction from the Maintenance Supervisor to assist in improving processes, with a schedule Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m.

- 4:00 p.m., and some Saturdays. Responsibilities include assembling machinery and electrical equipment, reading blueprints and schematics, using hand tools and power tools, maintaining equipment, inspecting products for quality, and

Qualifications

• Read blueprints, schematics or similar documentation.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble machinery and electrical equipment per directions.
• Read blueprints and schematics to build to specifications.
• Use hand and power tools to complete tasks and perform repairs as needed.
• Maintain equipment and check quality of products; report issues to supervisor.
