Job summary

Leggett & Platt in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support carpet cushion manufacturing. You will assemble machinery, read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and maintain equipment to ensure quality and uptime.

Qualifications include 2 years of industrial/manufacturing experience, ability to read schematics, math and teamwork, and willingness to work some Saturdays. The company offers strong benefits and a safety-conscious culture.

Responsibilities

• Assemble machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, and more according to directions.
• Read blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then build to those specifications.
• Use various machines and hand tools and power tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Maintain equipment and perform basic repairs when needed.
• Periodically check products to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolve any identified problems and alert supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

There just hasn't been enough education on how quality carpet pad is the source behind the comfort and added durability in your carpeting.

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will take direction from the Maintenance Supervisor to assist in completing projects that will improve current processes in the manufacturing of carpet cushion. The work schedule is Monday thruFriday, 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., with some required Saturday’s.

So, what will you be doing as a Maintenance Mechanic?
