Job summary

Foster Poultry Farms is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic B to ensure production equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently. You will collaborate with department supervisors and processing teams to drive continuous improvement and uphold our mission and core values.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, familiarity with PLCs, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced plant environment. Excellent safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food industry.
• Must read and write English.
• Must be able to perform basic math functions.
• Must understand electrical controls, wiring devices, motor controls, relays and solid-state devices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment with minimal downtime.
• Complete work orders and preventative maintenance on time and accurately.
• Promote good safety practices and GMP compliance within the department.
• Train lower-level mechanics and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Maintain good communication with all levels of staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
